We took part in the netball and floorball and came in fourth in both games. Argggggg, just a bit to touch the throphies. But games were quite enjoyable and funny, now then i know netball to me is quite a sissy game, cannot stepping, cannot block opponent, cannot jump when shooting, sooooo restricted. I think i will just normally elbow and block in basketball games, then SHIOK.

The floorball third game was super funny, its was also the game to decide whether we would be playing for 1st or 2nd. Samantha was talking to Jewel outside and the opponent shot the ball from their half, and the ball kind of rolled slowly into our goal. After that, Samantha then realised it, and mourned over it. Ka Wai nearly vomitted during the game, Bryan trying very hard to score by using his super muscle to take down opponent, and my legs were too soar to move, so just stand in front of the goal most of the time.

Not too bad, earned 80 dollars vouchers at Robinson for the games. And our team name is IA ROOM!! (the room that we slacked in our company)

Labour Day

Long time since the last kayaking!

FINE FINE FINE

I felt that my new car is really prone to be aim by the traffic police, and the CISCO parking auntie. Within one month of driving with it, I have already receive 4 fines. Two for parking offence, one advisory notice for speeding along KJE-PIE on the way to school, and one driving along the bus lane when I was picking up my girlfriend. Argggggg. not to mention my dad for a red light camera shot on the day ordering that car, amount to 12 POINTS fines.

For the bus lane offence, I have merely drive along the less than 20 metres, with a simple and short pickup at the busstop opposite Khatib train station after a left turn at a cross junction. Two parking offence ($100), buslane ($130), speeding ($130 with 4 points deduction --> luckily it is just an advisory notice, maybe im driving too fast and the traffic police could not catch up. geez...

26 Nov

I did a terrible thing today! As usual this morning, I got to wake up pretty quite early for my Lab session at 8.30am and this terrifying accident occured at the Nanyang Avenue cross junction when im almost reaching the NTU carpark (going to be late for the lab). Damn it! While i was on the main road, driving straight across the junction, there came a SMRT taxi from the side road, intending to cross the junction too without noticing my car. I cant really see the taxi because of the humongous bus beside me, waiting for a right turn. Nevertheless Im on the right way (the main road).

In the middle of the junction, there the taxi came without breaking, BUMPED on the right side of my car. There i was thinking "OHH SHIT, I will be late for the lab for sure!" Then the Impact set my car to a spinning momentum, nearly lost control of the steering wheel, drifting and skiing with an almost 270 degree turn, just passing the front part of two incoming bus.

It was really sucky, it was like the Initial D drifting and what that trueno in the show was experiencing during the turn.

The students in the bus keep staring at us. In the end, my car got a big scratch on the right side of the car, while the taxi's boynet was bent, front light all smashed. What a lucky day.

Spoon Feeding

Since young, spoon feeding has been a very common phrase that we conveniently hear of. Primary school teacher said, "Next week spelling, your must know how to spell spoon, feeding, fork, ......."

Secondary school teacer said, "The classroom based learning is still very easy, we are still spoon feeding your and your will learn that its different when u go to jc or poly next time."

JC teacher said, "Your should realise that the notes we have given is very comprehensive and details. You will not get those in the later part of your life. We are spoon feeding you."

Even University tutors said, "In NTU, we are still spoon feeding you will all the information that you need. Your job is to pick those that you want to learn. I dont know you should call yourself lucky or not. Its very different out there."

When I drove along the TPE, I saw the electronic sign board which show "Traffic Police on Operation." The subsequent after one to two kilometre, traffic police was seen along the road shoulder and under bridge (what at good spot to rest, can escape from sun and rain), with glamorous extra red and blue trafic light stationed on the floor (afraid that no one will notice him, and for goodness sake, TP is the most attractive person on the road), convenient standing beside his bike with his helmet resting under his arm, and looking abit bored. I wonder how is he going to chase any speeding cars.

What is NOT Spoon Feeding?

The "SARGEANT"

It was a "fabulous day", receiving special greetings from a "Sargeant". On the way towards Curtain University , i saw a very cool van going behind ours along the Manning Road. It got a big U.S. Sergeant Rank in front of his van. Then we all realised that the company's name is SARGEANT, slanking to make it sounds like Sergeant. Haha good try and we kept staring at the van for a few seconds, maybe some laughter as well. I begged that the driver of the sergeant van kinda saw our reaction, over-took us from the left side (overtaking from the left side is not the normal practice, its dangerous - or maybe i was driving too slow perhaps). And Then, he pointed his middle finger at us, sending us his international greetings in an offended way, then accelerated instantly, zooming off in a speed that it was impossible for us to catch up (in order to send him some greetings back im suppose.) haha. We are dazed.

Jap Day

Sushi is not the kind of healthy food as we all think! Im quite surprised by how the tamago (egg) of the sushi is made. Totally amazed when my sister was trying to balance the number of eggs used and the amount of suger added in order to make it sweet. 1 TABLESPOON OF SUGER for 1 egg, and we have used about 2 dozens of them, which also means that many many many TABLESPOONS of suger were added. Fantastic, think that we will get diabetis in no later time. I have also realised that Im really such a lousy cook. Tried frying the tamago and it turned out to be burned and had a alien blue black appeared inside. Thats bad!!

Nevertheless, today we had japanese meals, for lunch and dinner. Sushi and miso soup. My uncle's family has returned to Singapore yesterday and they will be staying over there for 3 weeks. It means that they have left my sister and I alone in the foreign ground, a problematic car and a house to manage. I feel as if im having a survival camp, with most of the things around us unknown, limited resources, a car that might stop anytime in the middle of the road and the risk of facing probably natural disasters.

Ling said Singapore's news has reported that Australia is facing extreme weather and the chinese newspaper over here has also informed that Perth might experient major earthquakes, storms, flood or even TSUNAMIS (again :( ). We have decide to buy more batteries, torches and dry food (though i dont think they are of much help anyway). So pray that i can survive and return back to Singapore ba. The nearby Thornlie square is having an eight hour crazy sales and lots of interesting performance for the kids (Thornlie is the suburb that im staying). Magic shows, balloon makings, face decoration, singing by the Think Pink group and shopping. Then got bullied by auntie, her neighbour, sister and xiaoqing, so-called the duty of a guy. Craving for their cheap cheap sales, they have thrown 4 kids under my care. I have to entertain them, make sure that they dont get lost, playing balloons with them in front of a supermarket.

It has been quite a long time since i last manage to perform my boomberang throw a feww weeks ago due to the bad bad weather. Most of us, together with the fascinated kids, went to our usual Grainger Reserve (The name always remind me of Hermonie Grainger!) Today there are lots of kids in the park, going around with the see-saw and Australian football. They are quite style i shall say. One of them is having a brown and red dye on his head, and the cute gal Jasmine, has the tendency to throw the boomberang towards us. Dangerous gal too.

Aus Weather

The weather is going from bad to worse, junyi told me that today is the record coldest day in perth. With the daily temperature range from 0 to 10 degrees, i think i can start to hibernate in my bedroom. The weather has became thoroughly wet since the beginning of jun. Never stopping drizzles and rains, and occasionaly unpleasant gift ("hale??") are received from the sky.

Nevertheless, i really like the rainbows over here. (look at the date below). Hmmm has been a month already. wow incredible, no wonder alice said that there are mushrooms starting to grow on my blog webpage. Well, heckcare. Though the chatterbox has been "X" out by the provider due to significant poor attendance, nevertheless a replacement has always been an easy job.

So here im back again, to the very unpopular own blog, with pathetic daily readers. (Hmmm sounds so fake). Heckcare, heckcare.. hahaha i think i have rot through the beginning of my holidays, and will be doing so definitely. Thats the way, ought to be consistant in doing things.

Days seems to be rather quite interesting, lots of outings and shoppings (though i dont really enjoy the latter one when it is done together with my sister; she can spend hours just in one shop and its really a pain when you see theres still dozens of shops going down the street. Truthfully speaking, its a definite skill that gals outdo guys, with guys no where near their minimum standard.

There i met the very cute gal again! And the whole lot of us went to frementle, her second sister as the tour guide. I got my very very nice bomberang over there. This holiday doesnt seem like a holiday at all. Out of the five weekdays, I have to go back to school on three of the days. sigh.... Monday had a make-up tutorial, but i cant blame the monday lesson, becos that was the tutorial I have beckoned the tutor to give us. Surprising only 5 ppl turn up, excluding the 3 students who came to take their "make-up physics CA" that they have missed due to some crap reasons. But the teacher is very kind and cute. Hahaha very easy to bully. I remembered that I asked a stupid question: "Why x instead of r is kept constant" in a question regarding refraction of fish image in a water tank. Then the cute teacher, not really prepared, donno how to explain, asked me to go to his staff room to take a look at his fish tank. Very 幽默!! I like part that he always says, "Don't coppi yaaa, coppi no use yaaa, if u want i can send u the answer yaaa, dont coppi yaaa, listen to me more important yaaa." But most of the time, everyone just keep on copying what he has shown us on the OHP, ignoring what he has said.

Wednesday was due to some time wasting seminar and friday due to "seem to be endless" orientation camp meeting as well as project discussion. sigh...

Nevertheless, my holidays are preoccupied with something else. *twin twin* It is the Age of Mythology!!! Quite nice to play, Hahaha

二月十六，一個蠻有壓力的一天！

今天終于過了。哈哈是一個值得慶幸的事情！因為前幾天情人節的準備功夫，我可真的沒有時間準備今天的物理 part2 測驗和我的General Study(GE):Confucius Heritage and Its Modern Implication 的presentation: 文化中國的認知與關懷。

Basically, 我只是 read out from the slides. :)

Valentine's Day

Other people enjoyed their valentine's day; I had a hard day! Woke up really early in the morning, and rented a car from the Eastern car rental. Then start the flower delivery immediately (its a long journey). I always feel that this fund raising canvassing project is a difficult tusk, too much to do, too little time, manpower and skill. And the basic problem underlying is actually planning/management and our over ambitious. Arggggg we just keep on accepting delivery orders without measuring them with our delivering capacity. (not me, i think i have one of the least orders, no one wants to buy from me..)

Nevertheless, I have went to Hougang, Ang Mo Kio, Toa Payoh, Catholic JC, KK Hospital, Bukit Panjang, Sembawang, Redhill, Whampo, and some other wulu wulu places. Although altogether, we had 3 cars and sufficient drivers, we were unable to deliver on time. There were really really bad cases where the orders were 10 hours late!!! Terrible rite? Some girls were even sound asleep before we managed to sent to the their door step. What to do? Thats the result of poor planning, i dont think there is a specific person be appointed to manage all the orders. Till now, i still do not know how much orders we have to fulfil on that day. Maybe about 60 to 80??

Delivery was not the only problem. Flowers premature dying before the collection, flowers being killed by uncareful hands and legs, and dried to death due to hot weather and dehydration, not enough wrapping papers and side flowers such as statics, baby breathe and sarah leaves, reordered replacement flowers that cut our profit greatly, and even with the replacement flowers there were still not enough of them to complete the orders. Manpower roster unplanned which resulted in unmanned flower collection point. I have been told that some tricks can be done to the school's printing services. There is actually a bug in the printing programming, which we will be able to print a large stack of notes with just 5 cents. Serious!! Large piles of notes can be printed out with that cheap price as long as they are within one print job. The printing services at the Nanyang Business School have the bug, but those in Lee Wee Nam Library cannot work with the trick. They may have the debug systems. Others printers were unknown.

A few days ago, I went to the computer lab near to Nanyang Auditorium to do some routine notes printing. When I was waiting for my turn to the printing computer, I saw the trick. And its two in a row. Both gals who queued in front of me used the trick i nearly forgotten (wahhh it was like an public secret). Its workable!!! though the gals looked quite embarass as she only printed one of her many print jobs (which was obviously very strange, most people will just print all their jobs).

I tried the trick!!! And it works!!! I spent only 5 cents for a few dollars worth printing. though I have saved a lunch's money for the next day, but I felt abit guilty. I felt pity for the print shop's auntie. She will surely be one of the last to know about the bug thingy...

Florist Training

Driving at Serangoon and MacPerson road is always that challenging. Lots of one way streets and avenues, reckless driving exhibit by morons in their thought to be impermissible trucks and lorries, and super inconsiderate taxis which will never give way to you even if you wave at them. In the end, you have to keep going straight, to a place u do not know. So... i lated for my training (as usual, just an excuse).

Today i had some florist training at MAE industrial building. Hmmm roughly know how to wrap a bouquet with a single, three, six and a dozen of roses. Quite interesting and difficult!! I only managed to make a ribbon (those really very simple one). Hahaha mei you tian fen. Never mind, will have lots of chance to try out next time. Hmmm y people must give flowers during Valentine's day to express their so called 'Love'? Those who give will be recognised as romantic and understanding, idiots for those who do not. The day is no longer that simple to their original meaning, it has become something more than a memorable day and celebration. The V day now has become a sterotype routine to identify whether your parther are willing to do the expected steps (get the gal some flowers, a gift, a dinner treat and some heart to heart talk and some other stuff). Hmmm actually i donno know what people usually do during datings, but i think most are about the same. Or is dating similar to having a meal where u have standards steps: to use your hands to hold cultery, eat the food in your mouth and bite them with your teeth? (of course you have to use your mouth, can anyone eat with their other holes???)

Nevertheless, my club is going to sell flowers, cookies, lollipops and icecreams on Valentine's Day. Flowers range from $5 to $35 dollars. Free choice of roses colours. So if anyone interested must order from me okie? The bad thing is that, im given a minimum target 10 orders to clear. The price is really very reasonable if u want to compare to other florist shops.

Getting too slow

I think im getting quite slow in my academic learning process. Busy with all sort of house cleaning, painting, shopping, the driver of the month (again 'over utilised' by my mother, wat to do, im the driver of two families!)

Though it as been a month already, i can still think of the life in perth. A very very quiet place, away from buzzling motor noise, away from human's laughter and speeches, away from anything that i normally hear.

Again, this time im not having holidays over there, but as a unconditioned labour exploited by my parents. Anyway it was to help my uncle to move his house, so really did lotz of carpentry, gardening, locksmith, housekeeping and stuff like that. Hmmmm to be exact, i have fixed 2 single beds, 1 double bed, 1 study desk, 1 tv cabinet, 1 clothing cabinet, 2 fans, 2 door knobs, 2 magnetic door stopper, house number plate, numerous clothes hanger racks and drilling, grass mower, planted lots of canifors and plants, gardening and grass trimming.

Theres one time when i went to a giant shopping centre at perth, and there held a basketball throwing game. U can win something if u manage to throw in a few number of throws. Yeah I went for that. After looking looking at the distance (Chey, its just a few foot from the basket, nearer than the free throw line). Then its a gal's turn who queued in front of me. Hmmmm not bad, she got in 2 out of 4, Pretty quite good for her standard already, haha. I kept thinking, its chicken feet, too easy, no standard. Im the next, Ho ho ho. I threw the first ball. AIR BALL and it even hitted a player standing beside. Its SO Embrassing!. never mind i threw the ball again, Missed! Then i missed again and again. I got 0 out of 4...... nevertheless i do receive one coca cola water bottle...... were they feeling pity for me?

Hey i got to know a gal over there. Very nice and cute gal!!! she got the cutest smile, really!! 1 year younger than us, taiwanese but staying in australia, same religion, vegetarian since young (sounds familiar rite?), studying pharmacy in New Zealand University, but recently heard that she has switched her school to Curtain University. So can go to jio her whenever im going to perth. Not a bad idea :) ooops is there any gal who wants to kill me now?

a vEry nOrmal dAy

Today is a normal cloudy day, similar to another day in this few weeks, overcasted with dark clouds, windy, dam and humid, no sun, Everything seems soo lifeless, bluish grey, colourless. I went to Bugis, myself, pathetic, scrolling around with my shopping list -- a soft toy for my cousin, parmesan cheese, and some other stuff. Hmmm its not enjoyable at all. Boring! Nevertheless its better than rotting at home ba.

At the centre of Parco, theres a small fountain where water and dry ice smoke will be ejected. The children love playing with the random motion of water movement coming out from different holes. Their laughter filled the whole Parco square, sychronised with the Christmas chores. Shiok shiok. Our class went to Sentosa for beach volley, with a total of 16 ppl. It is not a bad strength after all. December is an awful month for outdoor activities. The rain went to the beach with us too, playing his best game - hide and seek alternating showers. Argggg all of us incurred great losses for that. Ooops volley games couldn’t be played properly, swimming while raining would be quite dangerous, and the cold dull weather also mean that there were not much suntaning and bikini gals. No wonder my classmates were quite sian. Engross with any 'one' that they can find around them.

But I enjoyed the volleyball matches, with the new formed team, we managed to trash all the teams on the beach we could found. Muhahaha, very skill rite? And that’s us. The very ON vice class rep is gathering people to form a floorball team, and she is very enthusiastic to participate in the interschool competition too.

Haha I received a present from them. Very surprised that they can remember mine. Quite a nice outing.

Northeast mass rapid

White Xmas Tree at harborfront

Pathetic raining season

Honda, which model i do not know..

Great volley teacher Onisuka

Vice class rep cum trainee

Hahaha

Classmates

Sentosa Toliet!! The exams are eventually over!! Celebration and Fun Time!! haha Today is a slow paced relaxing day. I have met yong and weiling at the esplanade to Draw! Yes we intended to get back the prowess drawing skill we used to master (and that is once upon a time). Having a hard time seaching for a comfortable place, which must be cooling (the only cooling place is of course in the library--thats air-conditioned), and facing a good view (though in the end, i did draw none of the scenary). haha One conclusion after we have our drawing done -- our skill became rusty, and thats quite sad. Nevetheless the library is a very nice place to study and sleep as well. Nice comforting arm chairs, neon dimmer and nice crystal background soundtrack which made me even want to sleep more. I received my Birthday Present Too!! A vey nice Fossil watch with surfing animation on it. Nice!! :) Must thanks Yong and ling alot for searching this nice watch. I like it!!

Ahhh before i arrived at esplanade, i saw something quite terrifying at the popular book store in Jurong Point. Initally i was queuing at the cashier to pay my drawing block. There were two mothers queuing in front of me, with really LOTS OF BOOKS in their basket. The first chinese mother have two baskets full of just merely assessment books. My first reaction was, "poor child, have to do all these assessment during the whole period of her holiday vacation". Then i saw a young girl who came back to the mother, who was named Sarah. My next reaction was, "poor Sarah." She has spent $178.00 for the books. What a scary amount spent on extras.. The same senario happened again to the second Indian mother who queued just in front of me, holding a basket full of Assessment Books AGAIN! Then i suddenly felt that "Im so lucky." I believe that the children nowadays don really have childhood memory, hmmm maybe they have, just that it is made up of tonnes and tonnes of assessment books covering all over them.

New watch! Weiling got into SIM to study Psychology, congratz congratz! There we were celebrating for her successful long waited application into the university. It also means that we may able to receive free consultation from her in the future. Muhahaha. We are quite surprised that it was ah yuan's first time patronizing the sushi restraurant. No wonder he kept saying that he detest eating sushi. And of course, he hates wasabi. Nevertheless i like that taste. :)

We went for a pool game after, a quick one this time round. Having a series of one on one challenge and the following are the results: weiling and I lost to yuan, yuan lost to yong, yong lost to xi. So according to the ranking of skill, xi > yong > yuan > me and ling. Ahhh im the lousiest guy around. haha never mind, next time i will show them my real prowess accuracy in this ball knocking table game. I will be back!!

Weiling, our future Psychologist!

The Four of us again

MotorShow 2004

A very great and fine day. It has been months that I visited Suntec City. Have to thanks ah yuan’s recommendation and persistence and there we went to the Motorshow 2004. Really lots and lots of nice cars, AND rally gals! Haha yong, xi and yuan kept drooling and taking pictures, nearly flooded the whole exhibition centre together with the other erotic uncles. Especially ah yuan, I think most of his pictures were the rally gals than the motorcars (that’s what he told me, ooops, maybe its a joke). It has kept me wondering what his real motive was. I believed he score a wonderful goal. Haha but we enjoyed that!

Those rally gals emerged to be the superstars of the whole exhibition. Flashes from cameras, handphones, palmtops and any image capturing devices u can think of shot continuously, resembling a 200bpm sub machine gun (a bit exaggerating, but I like that). I saw some stuff that amazed me. A middle age, not very pleasant looking, erotic pervert kept shooting the rally gals. Thanks to his zooming power of his camera, he was able to capture just the face of the gals with impressive clear and define resolution. His shots might consist of some fanatic contents I do not know. Anyway that’s his business, and that’s the job of the rally gals. Exchanging a temporary ‘glory’ with some pathetic allowance (but that uncle should also be more considerate rite?). Nevertheless, they are indeed quite nice looking. :P

THE SUBARU STUNT SHOW is superb!! Exciting and skillful Subaru motorcar stunt performance by World Number 1 Precision driver Russ Swift is amazing, incredible, inconceivable, simply too fantastic. His car sudden braking, accelerating, vertical and parallel parking, two-wheels driving which can only be seen in Jackie Chan’s movie and spinning car doughnut!! Especially the parallel parking, that’s simply unbelievable. He was really able to park his car with a single turn and no reverse gear, slide all the way from the side using sudden brake and finally into a parking slot smaller than typical Singapore parallel parking slot. But I believe his car has suffered some tyres wore after the show :P Then here came the exciting part of the show. We got the chance to experience the stunts by taking free rides from them. Wow it was Marvellous!! It is much better and thrilling than the roller coaster found in the theme park. One word: “Bang(4)”

It’s also a big day for ah yuan and xi, both got rejected in the same day! Haha, their attempts to persuade a Nokia gal to take photos with them got rejected. It was quite disheartening to get refusal from the very sweet gal. Truly speaking, she looks like Alice – very sweet, tall, nice, demure and pleasant looking.
